When considering which materials to use to construct internal walls, it’s not only factors such as strength and durability that are important, but also the performance of the finished system. 

We were excited to recently open our new staff ‘Wellbeing Garden’ at the Knauf UK & Ireland Head Office in Sittingbourne, built by re-using old materials and Knauf products.  

We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Modulous, one of the most exciting companies to emerge in the industry recently with innovative solutions for offsite construction. 

Knauf is delighted to have maintained our 'Excellent' rating for BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing of its plasterboard, laminated plasterboard and gypsum powder products - a rating that we have held since 2019.

Late last year, Knauf collaborated with leading prison education organisation Novus, whose mission is to improve the employability of those leaving prison. Knauf donated around 40 bags of its Airless Finish product to Novus and trained tutors at HMP Thorn Cross in its application. 

Today, we would like to inform you of the progress we are making after the cyber-attack that occurred at the end of June. We continue to work vigorously in reinstating operating procedures and are well on our way to achieving this.

What does Knauf’s Planet Mark certification mean?

Following Knauf’s announcement that it has joined Planet Mark, the company has now been certified by Planet Mark for Carbon Footprint and Social Value reporting for 2021

Fourteen new forklift trucks have been rolled out at the Sittingbourne plant, bringing improved safety, greater management control and cleaner operation. 

 

The new trucks include the most modern safety features, including an incident sensor triggering the truck to halt and a Linde BlueSpot™ light safety system to alert pedestrians to oncoming trucks that may be out of their direct line of sight.
