We are delighted to share that two of our Apprentices, Sarah Olusola, HR Support Apprentice, and Olly Julier, Digital Marketing Apprentice have each taken home a top award.
Sarah, who joined us in September 2021 as HR Support Apprentice, won The Apprentice of the Year Award, at MidKent College Student Awards 2023.
Sarah said “It was an honour to be named as Apprentice of the Year, I am truly grateful for the journey Knauf is enabling for me as I start my career. I couldn’t have done it without the abundance of encouragement and development I have received from the team.”
Riki Banfield, People Advisor and Sarah’s manager, said “Sarah has really flourished at Knauf, and she is a joy to work with and mentor. This award is fantastic recognition of her valuable input and growing confidence and knowledge.”

Olly, who joined us in September 2022 as Digital Marketing Apprentice, was named Creative and Digital Apprentice of the Year at the East Kent Apprenticeship Awards 2023.
The judges were impressed by Olly’s maturity and ability to build a rapport with his immediate team and the wider company, all whilst delivering on a number of new digital campaigns and formats.
Olly said “It was a great night at the awards, and it is fantastic to be recognised in this way. Despite being less than 12 months into my career, I am excited for the opportunities ahead.”.
Patrick Cantellow, Digital Marketing Manager and Olly’s manager, said “I am astonished at how Olly, having only been in the world of work for 10 months, has grasped his role in Digital Marketing and set on delivering on his new and fresh ideas.”
