We were delighted to support the Whitbread Clay Pigeon Shoot in May which raised over £40,000 to help build the new cancer centre at the Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The event is a regular in Whitbread's fundraising calendar and is attended by suppliers and supporters of Whitbread companies. Knauf joined the day with distribution partner Encon.

National Client Development Manager Jon Watts grabbed the opportunity to support this worthwhile event - not least because clay pigeon shooting happens to be something he does in his spare time.

Held at Honesberie shooting ground in Warwickshire, the day involved a range of shooting challenges and was rounded off with a fundraising dinner with awards presented to the best scores of the day.

"It was a great day in support of a really great charity" was Jon's summary. "Knauf encourages us to support worthwhile causes and I don't think you can get a more deserving organisation than Great Ormond Street. We are delighted to have been involved this year and look forward to developing other opportunities like this in the future."
