Knauf GIFAfloor installed in the rebuilt Berlin Palace

Project Details

From September 2020, Berlin has one more cultural attraction. The Humboldt Forum museum that offers a unique place to experience, learn and meet.

Embedded in the premises of the rebuilt Berlin Palace, visitors to an area of 30,000 m² are encouraged to gain new insights into the world of yesterday, today and tomorrow as part of archaeological, ethnological and art historical exhibitions and events. The Humboldt Forum is inspired by its namesakes Alexander and Wilhelm von Humboldt, and their joy of travelling and exploring the world with open eyes and understanding it as an intertwined system of nature and culture.

Knauf GIFAfloor FHB hollow flooring provides the perfect solution for large rooms that are heavily used. Installed in a large part of the Berlin property, the tongue and groove 1200 x 600 mm and 600 x 600 mm panels created an absolutely flat floor surface; an ideal and sound-absorbing surface for any type of floor covering – whether parquet, elegant stone floor or noise-absorbing carpeting.
