Knauf is delighted to have maintained our 'Excellent' rating for BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing of its plasterboard, laminated plasterboard and gypsum powder products - a rating that we have held since 2019.
The BES 6001 standard is a means of securing certification to demonstrate through independent, third-party certification, that raw materials for products certified against the scheme have been responsibly sourced and that Knauf manufacture these products in a way that minimises the impact on our environment and natural resources.
This is a significant achievement, requiring input from all areas of the business, from our procurement and manufacturing activities right through to transporting products to our customers. As a result, customers can be confident they’re working with a supplier that is committed to sustainability.
This certification is a demonstration of a shared goal and collaboration throughout the supply chain, something that will be necessary to meet the construction industry’s overall carbon reduction targets and broader environmental standards.
Continuing to operate at this high standard not only maintains Knauf’s own excellent social and environmental performance but adds value for its customers too.
