Knauf Secrets: Hey Presto! The fast drying render from Knauf
Knauf Presto is a traditional through-coloured lime-based external render finish, formulated with ease of application and speed of completion in mind. Providing decoration and weather protection, this scratch render offers a cost effective monocouche solution.
It is the ideal choice for traditional housing schemes, with a standard grain size of 1.5mm and available in a range of colours; the Regal range comprising of 12 colours has been selected specifically for the local UK market. Three of these popular colours – Snow White, Ivory and County Cream – are available immediately.
Delivered as a pre-mixed dry mortar, Knauf Presto contains a mineral binder which makes the product fast drying. Suitable for use on blockwork with a density of 7N or greater, and also other masonry substrates (subject to priming). It is applied in one coat (18mm) quickly and easily by hand or machine. Once set (12-24 hours), the render can then be scratched back to 15mm. Being through-coloured, there is no need for a top coat or painting.
In addition to the speed of application and drying time, Knauf Presto incorporates an admixture which makes it water and crack resistant ensuring the longevity of the render.
