Dear customer,

 

Following on from our announcement in May advising of our move into a process of allocation for plasterboard from 14th June, I am pleased to confirm that this move to improve service levels (stock availability and lead times) is now achieving the desired result.

 

We are however facing into some challenges in our logistics operation due to the nationwide shortage of drivers. The driver shortage has been well publicised in the national press and news outlets over recent weeks. (https://www.ukhaulier.co.uk/news/category/road-transport/drivers/)

 

We are working closely with our pool of transport providers both domestically and internationally on maintaining service levels. Even with the mitigation plans we’ve developed, we expect the situation to continue in the short to mid-term and driver availability will remain volatile.

 

If a delivery does fail, we will work with you to re-book at the earliest possible date and, if required, look at alternative options to enable the completion of the delivery. In the immediate future we may not be able to deliver all of the June allocation commitment in the month. To mitigate this, we will continue to deliver the June allocation commitment into July. This will not impact your July allocation volumes.
