Knauf assists local family - DIY SOS: The Big Build

With a local Isle of Sheppey family in desperate need of a new home, Knauf has donated a lorry-load of plasterboard and materials as part of the BBC One series ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build’.

Knauf and its employees, based out of Sittingbourne in Kent, are proud to have donated the materials to a very deserving family from the nearby Isle of Sheppey.

Alongside sheets of Knauf Wallboard, Knauf also donated its tile backing boards for use in all the bathrooms areas and other specialist boards for the internal walls and ceilings.

As one of the largest manufacturers of lightweight building materials and systems, Knauf feels a strong sense of responsibility to the local community and routinely participates in community projects and charitable ventures.

The episode airs on BBC One on Thursday 8 June at 8.55pm.
